Hello!

My name's Laura, but most people call me 'Lu'. Thanks for dropping by my page!

I'm a NASM certified personal trainer, a certified pre & post natal coach with Girls Gone Strong, and a competitive powerlifter.

 

I work with clients all over the world, with all kinds of goals. I have fostered a community of individuals who thrive on performing and feeling better, in a body-neutral kind of way. Here, we don't only focus on the scales!

 

In a world seemingly fixated on how we look, I enjoy being a proud advocate for health, wellness, and witnessing people build confidence through performance, and not equating their worth with their body type!

 

THE LIFT UP Story

With 20 years of experience training in various gym environments around the world, I've incorporated many types of training styles in my life over this time, to meet a multitude of goals. As an active mom, my personal physical pursuits have included endurance training (up to 30km distances), hybrid training and more recently, as a competitive powerlifter. Over this time, I've enjoyed training to see where my limitations are (physically and mentally!) and training to smash through those boundaries.

 

In 2023, I decided to turn my passion for strength and fitness, into a career. Starting with gaining my NASM CPT certification, and then adding my CPPC with Girls Gone Strong. I firmly believe that everyone deserves body confidence, competence and being able to train in a way that promotes health and wellness.

As a coach and trainer, I love working with all kinds of people with all types of goals:

  • Getting stronger

  • Gaining self-confidence

  • Increasing muscle-mass

  • Building bone density

  • Creating healthy relationships with training and outcomes

 

Applying science-based training methods, I use these to create individual plans to meet my clients needs. This considers your training experience, equipment access, schedule and any limitations to work around.

My philosophy is: “It’s not all or NOTHING. It should be all or SOMETHING”. Long term consistency over perfection everytime!
